Using an antiperspirant with aluminum chloride topically is the simplest way to help control hyperhidrosis. If you have tried this and failed, you might want to consider injections of botulinum toxin A, better known as BOTOX®. This procedure disables the sweat glands for approximately six months and is approved by the FDA. At this time, we only treat the underarm areas. Insurance may or may not cover the procedure.
